JD wafer weights- any easy way?

Is there any cunning way of being able to tie them together as a block and then lift them on when required with the loader? Just standard 50kg wafers and I have 18 of them I think.

Don't like leaving them on the tractor, but like taking them on and off by hand even less.
TIA

we use a full set on our 7930 when ploughing. Clamp them together with some threaded rod, put them on a strong pallet and slide them on the tractor with a loader.
No need for the centre pin, they never move more than a few mill .

I know a chap who did this, worked great until he went round a corner and they shot off the side and hit a car! Turns out it wasn’t such a great idea after all(n)

Whilst having a cup tea , sat looking at waffer weights, I see no reason why the bit of cast above where pin hole is , cant be ground way on 2 weights allowing you to put a longer centre retaining pin in& out. Thus they could be then , bolted up & slid on the tombstone, may need the aerosol at ready when removed tho
That be job for the wet day list!.

i had a set which i modified to fit on an mf with a spare girder and an old front block off a JD, also made it so it would go on 3 point linkage will get a pic later, basically you can lift them up wit jcb slot them over front block on tractor and drop a pin in.

Rubbish, might be ok if you are on level ground but not if you’re on slopes.
My chap “forgot” to put the centre pin in once. I was spreading fert in some steep hills when the whole pack of wafer weights slid of the block serious damage averted as they rolled away downhill and missed the wheel. I nearly had a fit from fright
