Kiwi ‘super crook’

hi all! Hope all is going well for everyone!
I’ve taken in an interest in buying the kiwi super crook, although every website I seem to look at has at least £10 for shipping costs? Let alone the extortionate price for the crook alone
Does anyone know of a local business that sells them in the uk? Or just a cheaper place that sells them
Cheers!

george mudge sells them , can be bought at sw shows through summer , really good tool for catching sheep , would prefer alloy ends though as can be a bit heavy one end in tight spaces,
Yep agree about the imbalance. But otherwise a great bit of kit.
I shortened mine by an inch or 2 so it fits across the bike as I've broken 2 catching it in gateways/trees as I drive along.

I agree it’s a good idea but can be a little clumsy. Flimsy pole with quite a weight on the end can be frustrating!

But would anyone that’s used one, ever go back to a normal, bendy one? I know I certainly wouldn’t, fantastic things imo, despite of the price.
Just needs a lamb neck crook at the other end instead of a ewe one, then I could leave my lamb crook at home.

They’re unbeatable for catching a single ewe on her own. I find them awkward if lots of ewes are in a corner and I’m trying to crook one!

Another thing is don’t reach into a thorny hedge trying to catch a lamb! If you accidentally crook a branch, you have to climb in to release it!!!

£10 shipping is not a lot for something over 1.4 metres in length.

So does the leg crook on it not catch lambs? Mine is turning up today
Don't know about anyone else, but I don't find it any good for baby lambs.
My uncle made this from a normal long handled crook. Once you have a lamb crooked by the neck , it can spin around and try and pull away but it's caught. Not like a leg crook where they can kick out of it, or a neck crook on a ewe which I find you have to hold it just right or she's gone.
