Are you planning to use Atlantis WG in 2018?

Aren't they all greedy?!

They are businesses and as such are looking to make profits where they can. I don't blame them for that. It's our jobs as farmers to buy as cheaply as we can and reduce their profits. But they are doing a job and storing and delivering products to farm, so most definietly should be able to make a profit out of doing that.

Precisely. If they can sell an Atlantis clone for similar money, they will and some farmers may not question it.

I've found 10% saving so far off Atlantis, and a bit less off compared to Hatra.

Whats actually more interesting than it being sold at the same price at Atlantis here is how a product thats apparently exclusive to a certain distributer ends up being sold by others, I expect the manufacture will be interest to learn that's the case ................. dam internet and people actually talking to each other ;)

Yet according to @Chris F above it's common practice.

Chemical arrived today. Did one load of Niantic (with Biopower!).

First impressions - looks same as Atlantis (because it is).
Comes in 3kg cans (not 2kg as Atlantis). Only downside to this is a 2kg Atlantis can worked out paired with a 5l Biopower can. Not quite so handy with 3kg Niantic.
Cans also have a funny restricter in the lid to slow the product coming out - looks a bit of a bodge tbh. The lip creates a ledge that the granules get stuck on when tipping out. It's flexible rubber so will expand to fit the can wash nozzle, but does mean getting the last few dregs out the can isn't quite so easy.

Would I use again? Possibly....but to be honest I'd be just as happy with Hatra next time around for the 5% or so saving against liquid product.

I switched to the liquid version several years ago. I'm unlikely to go back. There is trials data to show control is better from the OD formulation over the WG. Also as an operator it is so much easier, especially when it comes to measuring part cans.

Agreed. I used Hatra first time last year and was very pleased with it. As you say, far easier to mix, measure, and handle. Never like granules due to the potential for dust exposure too.

I don't know whether LifeSciences were only able to produce granule, but seems strange to me to do this instead of the liquid.

Lots of people preferred the hatra for the same reasons you mention. It was just easier to live with. I never noticed any difference in effectiveness though. Used to use lots of hatra at 3/4 rate for general grassweed control and it was good.

Thought I'd drag this back up to the top again. Planning on going with herbicide this coming week.

Couldn't remember what I thought about Niantic last year but seemed to recall I wasn't totally sold so decided to do a search on here to see what I thought at the time.

Looking back at my comments I shall now be ordering Hatra/Biopower.
