Has anyone else had an Trimble ez pilot steering wheel motor go wrong?

It was working hard but doing a good job keeping dead straight drilling maize, so was rattling a bit. Then all of a sudden stopped working!

It will engage but can’t pull itself on line or stay on line.
Happened Thursday night so can’t haven’t been able to speak to anyone on the phone about it.

It it was rattling before, is everything tight where motor mounts onto tractor?

Ours got slack there and stopped working.

Well I think it was tight as it could be. Gonna go and take it off tomorrow so will have a look. It was someone else driving at the time.
The rattling started as the aggressiveness was turned up to stop a little bit of weaving.

Was yours knackered for good or were you able to repair it?

There's a bit where a rod goes through a hole that had slack in, its on outside. Think he jammed cable ties in it to remove play in it. Bit of a bodge, but still working!

Will try and get a picture tomorrow.

Yeap, the motor is dead. If you going to buy a new one, it is too expencive. Almost as price as new ez pilot set. It is better to buy whole set and than you have spare cables and imd600 which you can sell.
Good luck!

That's a Scottish dealers website. I hope that's the whole kit including the imd600

Yes, you have imd600, cables, motor, sonalert, stop taster and can terminator. Imd by itself costs around 1000 and cables around 800. So, it is better to buy whole kit.

There's one in a farm sale near here next week, with a 750 in a separate lot. Having bought a used one in Jan, I'll be watching and wincing. What's the guesses - 1500 for the pilot, 1k for the 750?

Looks like a pancake electric motor google Rosh electric motors. try dave king electric repairs .
Most stuff just uses components from other manufactures just a bit of time doing research you might come up with it .
if it is totally goosed take it apart carefully you have nothing to loose . Bet it is just a readily available motor .
