No rudeness intended, but I think you have a clutch problem. There'll be two-cut guys here tedding out twice that in June.

Quite possibly but bear in mind there was a heavy dew (even frost) on the swathe. I think I would prefer a sensitive clutch rather than a knackered gearbox
When I went into crop that had been tedded yesterday and booted up to over 6 mph without an issue

It’s the grass this year,I’m down to half my normal tedding speed, triples we’re down to 6mph,haven’t seen this much grass for probably 5years or so...it’s not your clutch @Bald Rick

Had the same yesterday and today, was able to get going a lot easier in stuff tedded yesterday, often have to go slower on the second pass but not this time.

A reasonable effort from the old TM on Saturday, considering we ran into a diesel filter issue after lunch, and then an overheating issue after tea. We think the load sensing isn't right as she seems to be pumping the whole time.

For scale, the pit is 100x33. It would need to sink a lot over the next couple of days as we fill, otherwise I'm in for hassle. That's 55 acres, though its the heaviest 55. 155 to go. (n)

Back to normal tomorrow morning with TM on the buckrake and the heavier one on the wagon.

How do you stop waste with no side sheet?

We dig a small track around the edge when covering, for the gravel filled bags to lie in. That creates a surprisingly good seal. Little bit of waste just underneath the bag, which sinks, which in turn creates an even better seal.

NB Used to use side sheets for years, but trialled some bits without for a couple of years and saw little difference.
