Used tractor warranty

Is the definition of a dealer not derived the nature of the business income?
Probably not
What if the farmer has made money selling a used combine
That what he’s made out of his pedigree flock of sheep
Is he a dealer ?
I’m happy enough, balls in your court to prove the law is different to farm machinery!
no it isn’t you’ve already said what the law is
Send us a link ?
There no website available to show what isn’t law

Calm down , I don’t want to argue. Sadly you are still incorrect in your interpretations of that article.
Generally, although not always, so you could be right. Tractors are bought by businesses not by private individuals... I also couldn’t find in your link where it says 6 months?
I have a car dealer friend who buys cars for me out of Blackbushe auctions, he stated this law to me and the link I put up was a first google search. Whatever any agricultural dealer may say any magistrates bench will interpret the car job straight over as applicable to farm tractors and machinery with the right representation.

Elliot, back to reality!
All extended warranty really is is a caluculated risk done by manufacturer and dealer. So, why not ask the dealer direct if they can put extended warranty on it for the right monthly fee? You don’t ask you don’t get!
Ps, RIP Joe!

Sadly they won’t!
If you buy a commercial van or indeed car as a business, your rights are less.
Please try to see reason and at least consider you may have misinterpreted your friends advice ( the used car salesman!)

So you are saying a business is not entitled to protection under consumer law?

No, a business can be a buyer. Ok, so say Tesco uk ltd buys a car, it’s different to retired Fred bliss buying a car
Fred doesn’t receive a payslip but is a private individual

Elliott, give the money to a grandparent and get them to buy the tractor.
Learn something new every day, thank you Robt.

Sadly that won’t work either as it would still be being used for business should it ever go to court..... say his grandad bob buys it then gives it to Elliot. He then uses it to make money.... a judge isn’t stupid and would claim. It business use

Plenty of people own tractors that are not used for business purposes.
