Both my quads stolen

Not wanting to make things seem worse but had TFU had a presence out and about this theft would have been less likely.

We're looking to co-ordinate efforts to have security cars out nationally as a not for profit community interest company (bit like a charity but not). We're not a business and have to start off small. Help us by joining please.

Cheers.

Depending is how many of your mates are going to be "busy" when the call comes, quite a lot of people are full of shite when it comes to standing together, talk the talk etc, and then when you are being ragged by the pikies at 2.00 am, you will be on your own.
That’s why it needs serious organisation, not just your few mates but hundreds of local members. If the bike is tracked there is no need to close in until a sufficiently large team is strategically massed, indeed there is no need to close in at all, that is really the role of the police. When the police are informed 50 angry farmers are closing in on a couple of pikies they will throw everything out there including dog units, armed officers and choppers!! I have seen it happen, we emptied the local pub on a Friday night when my mates alarm system told us his business 1/2 a mile away was being robbed for the 3rd time in a month. When police know criminals are in danger the response is amazing!! We blocked the toe rags from returning to their parked car which was later seized. They rolled their other vehicle, a pickup :wacky: in the panic to evade police. :ROFLMAO: Whilst they did manage to escape on foot I call it a win for us (y)

Perhaps wire the handlebars to a cattle-prod, activated by starter motor. That would render the thief immobilised and ready for collection by the local authorities!

Has anyone been in the yard recently that you can remember, selling tools, looking for scrap, etc. Or are you visible from roadside?

There’s a field and lane to the yard and a single gate into the yard.. they’ve pushed the bikes threw the yard into the field down a hill and threw a separate field gate.. most annoying part is there’s 5 collies and not one made a noise that normally bark at anything

TFU (https://farmersunion.co.uk/) been established as a not for profit by a syndicate of retired Police Officers to manage this sort of crime and co-ordinate to keep everyone out of trouble.

There are some dangerously silly suggestions being made.

Like setting up a trap to catch offenders.

Suppose you catch someone. What are you going to do with your prisoner, hand him/her over to the cops?

They will not want your offender so then you've a new best friend.

You'll then become the focus of every violent allegation and civil action there is and the chances are you'd be labelled a vigilante and prosecuted. You'll then bring the entire Farming industry into disrepute because we'll be tha bad guys.

Please, be guided by experience!
