Mchale 991 sequence problem

I have a Mchale 991 wrapper mounted on a trailer with a donkey engine powering it, it has started to come out of sequence on the last rotation and try’s to tip then off at a angle instead of straight behind! Is there anyway to alter it? It’s as if it’s going past centre then comes out of its sequence. Any advice much appreciated

Is the wrapper starting in the correct place not certain but I think it’s something to do with the magnets under the table not lining up properly with the sensor I think that’s what happened with ours either that or a magnet broke

I'd almost put money on the beacons fudged. Disconnect it and the wrapper will probably work just fine.

When it stops it stops just over centre so it’s not parallel with everything else, not a lot but enough so when you press auto it gets out it’s sequence then next time it comes to stop it thinks it’s in the right place but it’s not and try’s to chuck them off over the right corner if your looking at the wrapper from behind

Not sure where it is on your model but on our electric control trailed one there is a multi plug under the front end near the valves that has come apart a few times. Same symptoms as yours, works perfectly other than stop position which then cocks up the tilt and the loading of the next. From memory I don't think the table slows down properly on the last turn

Our 991 will play up but only if table rotation speed is too fast. Anything over 32rpm and it occasionally gets its knickers in a twist I find

Any update? I take it when it stops it won’t be cutting and holding the wrap properly either if so it sounds like the magnets have moved that’s how I know when ours have moved

No not as yet. Tomorrow’s job going to try everything people have mentioned and hope one solves it. No once it’s out of sequence you have to get off and set it up again! Gets rather annoying I won’t lie.

Just a couple of thoughts, magnets will be the obvious, I once had an issue when voltage to box wasn’t very stable (loose wire). Also last week it messed about at one site, then I moved to another and it was fine, made me wonder if it was sat a bit uneven????. I do tend to switch the continuous cycle off and press the button to tip, at least when it does have a hissy fit u can just manually straighten the bed. Also it’s amazing how people r attracted to the wrapper and stand behind it, giving u a heart attack when u know it’s going to tip the bale off!!!

Still say the absolute first thing is to disconnect the beacon. Believe me I learnt the hard way. Very hard way. Wrappers act like there's a ghost in the system because of a bleady beacon that's not needed to make it work.
