Combinables Price Tracker

Area dependant I presume. I’m just back from a holiday , but before I went I did some off the combine at £152.50 and first week September at £154.50., as I need storage space at harvest . Didn’t do any barley , but was offered £130 off the combine . I wonder why I grow barley

the insane 3 crop rule is why i grow barley, but anyway....

To be fair to winter barley, it performs better than a second wheat on the lighter land we have, spreads my workload, so I can get stubble turnips or grass re seeded before starting on wheat, and the straw is worth a lot around here.
Best entry into OSR after aswell not too mention its the 1st thing to harvest & Straw has an extra value

Anything could yet happen in the UK. But the traders have all gone short on wheat this last fortnight; some even went short big style on harvest 2019 last August. They will see it gives them a handsome profit.

Fine if you have deep enough pockets to withstand a £50 change in direction

If there is continued wet in the USA corn belt then an early frost before the corn is ready
Dry weather stays for Australia and western Canada
The weather is the decider
Then any one short could loose more than their shirt if they have no back stops
Gambling on the weather is all based on luck
