Drying out, again!

Truly truly pathetic compared to the forecast and what others have had not too far from here. Yesterday I stood and admired the silage we had made and began to think we might be able to sell the wheat we are growing. Today I’m thinking what a twunt I was to make so much silage off the platform and for looking up the value of feed wheat.
Tomorrow what everhappens will be a better day.
Wow about 8 miles from you we had 26 ml in 24 hours was desperately needed on this greensand very localised as far as I can see. Strange weather warning of 30-50 ml and flash flooding did not materialise. Looks like a showery week

The misery continues. Another 12mm today. There'll be loughs of water hidden under the silage crop.

Had enough rain here now to just start making it soft around dry cows/heifers round feeders in field.
Having to feed them now as grass in very short supply.

Very much the same here. You had any rain at all?

Had a little but soon as sun comes out or wind blows it’s all gone. Few fields we cut early April are looking ok as they have enough crop cover to hold moisture but main 1st cut done early may really struggling. Still not covering in.

That’s about best of them 5 weeks regrowth and only had about 5t/acre off it for first cut.
Some of our wettest ground too. [emoji853]

Well less than an hour ago it was so hot could hardly stick a shirt.
Now it’s white outside.
Massive hailstorm. Still raining now.
Waiting to check total but I’d guess it’s going to be over an inch so far.
