I was advised to put my name on some a few weeks ago but told I could cancel if the price was more than I was willing to pay. So yesterday got a call offering uk an @ £255, said no thanks and was offered it at £253 said no thanks and bought 2 loads of lithan . £10 / t cheaper than this years .
Problem is I don’t think I’ll be getting anywhere near the £200/t paid for the urea +s this time last year.

I really hope CF don't royally f**k this up, like Ken Bowler at Yara did in 2008.

Yara jacked the price of AN up £160 (to £300/t iirc) on the back of £200 wheat in 2007. Only for the price of wheat to crash...

Thought Ken Bowler was a CF man NOT a Yara man

We’re all wrong. In 2007 he was at the recently formed Growhow, back when it co-owned by both Yara and CF, the start of UK nitrogen monopoly.
This is from 2010:
GrowHow came into being three years ago following the withdrawal of all the major manufacturers in the UK.

It is a joint venture company with the two main shareholders being Scandinavian fertiliser giant, Yara and United States based CF Industries.

They fudged it up for us not themselves...
