Received an email with this this morming:

https://positioningservices.trimble.com/resources/frequency-change/

Email was titled "Important: Trimble RTX Firmware Upgrade Required by 1, June 2019"....yet they still don't provide a firmware link....just tell you to contact your dealer!
Got the same. There’ll still be plenty of people caught unawares (as is usual with these changes).

Expect a flood of threads on TFF in a few weeks time as to why folks Trimble receivers are no longer getting corrections.

Stupid question, will this effect RTK, I think my xfill might be RTX. They are now telling me if I need to update anything it needs to be all 3 together, screen, nav and receiver.

You will need to change the frequency for xfill to work, it won't affect RTK per se.

Got a couple of cfx 750's and had letter about this from the dealer a month or two ago saying it was a send back job and 2hr labour cost to make unit compatable with new frequency change.
Is it not just a case of getting latest software and downloading onto a usb stick, and once installed altering frequency and baud rate or is there more to it this time?
Has anybody done the update, and does the 7.79 download from triangleag work ok?
Thanks

One unit is fully autosteer so works with a nav controller, and the other works with an ez steer.
Didn't know if they were making a mountain out of a mole hill ! And it is something we can do ourselves just as long as we can get the correct downloads.

Takes less than 15 mins to update.
Download to usb plug it into back and switch on. No problems for me using ez-steer.
Was that for a 750 screen regarding the latest Rtx signal change? Seems funny why they are saying it will cost 2 hrs labour.

I've updated software in past via USB, and updated my ez500 screen recently for the egnos update and that worked ok.

Don't know why Trimble don't send an attachment via email to customers because we have paid for the rangepoint subscription in good faith, but now want extra money for an update to be able to use it.?

Yep was for a 750, don’t have Rtx but it’s the same firmware.
Our local dealer will do updates for free.

Saw JD dealer offering special discount rate of £50 back along to update their systems to pin code lock. [emoji50]

Had an issue with our GPS going off, heard about the frequency change and found out how to change it, the guidance works fine after typing in the new frequency but for some reason the system won’t store the new frequency number, it’s on a case AFS Pro 700 screen and a 372 receiver, any ideas?

Is it simple to change, I’ve lost my x-fill for my RTK, hardly need it but if it’s simple to change (and hopefully stay stored) I should get on and get it changed. Is it in the RDI screen?
