What sort of saw mate ??

It’s a hand held circular rip saw. No idea of the model, but imo it’s built like a toy. Absolutely cr@p, BUT has some serious go in it, and rips through sheet metal like butter.
As I said, it does a job, but it’s awful to use, awkward and cumbersome and I’d certainly not cry if it went pop tomorrow.

I got one a year ago ,,bare unit so no nice case

Tbh the case is a monster, biggest Makita case I’ve ever seen! Not sure it would even go in a Makpac though?
Don’t know how long I will keep it in the case, as it’s such a lump.
And you can’t put it in the case with the handle on it:rolleyes:, not if you like the handle on the left like me anyway.

How have you got on with yours?

It’s tiny in comparison to an ordinary corded 9”, so I’m not expecting it to perform as well, but it will have its place I’m sure.

Heavy though, with a couple of batteries on its certainly got some gravity to it, so maybe it has got the minerals?

I used it to cut a load of box profile sheets ,,handier on a shed roof than a cable round your feet ,,it made very light work of them.
Heard of builders using them on sites for cutting bricks instead of a petrol saw ,,my fear of that would be the dust choking the motor vents

I rate evo stuff
I bought the skil saw for pallets
Useless for that as the wood moves and binds
The more expensive mitre saw is ace , about 130 ? And screwfix swap owt in warranty
Last one kicked like a barsteward i unplugged it b4 it killed me , rang evo for advice, give it some pain brushes not beded, he was right.
Table saw done loads too , mate has 14" chop, very good tool.
I guess my frase would be for the money there vgood

ive been gathering up taps and dies for the best end of 25 years, bits and pieces here and there kind of thing, im only just about at the point now where 90% of the time when i go for a tap i actually have the one i need but even so, there are still times when i don't have the right one, its like a never ending story....
i counted one day how many tap and die handles alone that i posess and it came to 60.....
i didnt set out to buy 60 tap and die handles mind but id get some in job lots..
its nearly turning out to be a fetish at this point...

bought this bad boy a couple of months ago just so as i could hang out with the big boys...:smug:

Imagine breaking a tap in such a handle...
I would like a set of bsp taps along my dies, but I am pretty much settled apart from that.
Come to think of it, one thing I would really like is a tapdriver set.
