Decided to get back my fitness this year... been doing Couch-2-5k programme and now I can run 5k again I’ve decided to do Parkrun in June 8th
Looking forward to it

Did the Parkrun on Saturday
35:55
Really pleased that my goals of:- running all the way, not being last and under 40 minutes we’re all achieved.
This weeks goal is under 35 mins now

( I’ve entered a 5k trail race at the end of this month AND a 10k race in September. )

Hi thought I’d join in.
Did my first timed park run today(didn’t have a barcode last week)

Managed 28mins 53 seconds. Very pleased with this and was much less painful than last week. Looking forward to a week when the bloody wind isn’t blowing.
I fancy running more than once a week as I want to get down to 8 minute mile pace before going to run at a friends park run. I don’t want her to beat me too far!
I am a total convert. Park runs are amaaaazing!

Well I did Saturdays Parkrun
But felt hot and bothered somehow so 35:45
But I did a 6 mile “joggle” all on my own !!! Sunday morning.... took ages.. but as I’ve entered a 10k (JLLM) too I need to progress to that distance.

Plan is to do this every week and the weight will come off, the fitness will increase and my time will improve

6 miles is pretty much your 10k done, its surprising how quickly you can improve and by doing the longer distance your 5k times will improve.
Parkrun was 25.03 on Saturday.

Sorry team TFF, bobbed out this week as had to do the last long walk on a Saturday....things to do on Sunday that disrupted the walking/running plan.
Have a picture of an old fat bloke blasting up the hill to get the last one I could last week.... he slowed/smiled/celebrated too soon!! :D:D

That aside................... 30min 39 secs today............ then walked about 12,000 steps around a farming friends vineyard helping tie in the "unruly" vines...... might have sampled a drop or three too!
