How to get a water sample out of an old well?

No parts were harmed, with the exception of a bit of tape to stop the seed pipe which held the jubilee clip line guide from falling off the tree canes.

Binoculars and torch necessary as brick/bottle had to be threaded though various pipes etc to water 66m down.

Got the sample too, which was something of a surprise.

Nice work. Looks very smart. Will it see any paint? Also does the JCB just tow the wrapper to a job or is that the baling tractor?

Painted yesterday afternoon and ordered some plastic end caps too but wrong thread to be posting that in......

No JCB does anything and everything. We used to wrap at the stack but gone to doing it in field now so JCB does the wrapping.

Have you ever used net wrap to tie anything? It's bloody strong! I've used it to tie gates before when it's all I had and it's good because it doesn't open very easily by itself like string can. But it doesn't open very easily when you want to open the gate either :banghead::banghead:
@Kiwi Pete told me a story about changing a tyre on a 4 rotor rake and they didn't have a jack. So he just wrapped some, or a lot of, bale net around it into a sling and lifted it with a digger then rested it on a gate post to take the wheel off.

Love the use of cable tie overhang to enhance the acoustic use of rear wheel spokes which ensures any child or indeed adult of childlike disposition will positively enjoy performing the manual task.
