The storm we just had was heading in your general direction. Came from Ellesmere which is northwest from me and heading market Drayton way .
Not bothered where it goes , as long as we get sunshine afterwards for the maize . It’s grown about 2 inches today . This was from yesterday afternoon and in the last half hour .

Just knocked all mine down and forecast down from 25 mm to 17 mm tomorrow.

I cut three fields for haylage last year, the rest being short, lush grass but made fantastic hay easily enough. From the same three fields baled last Friday, we had 300 bales. Last year they did 120 bales, albeit better quality (17%CP). I just hope there’s a market for it....
