Agricultural Insurance in Australia and New Zealand?

Could any of our Australian and NZ readers let me know what the big agricultural insurance companies are in your part of the world?

@NZDan @Kiwi Pete please feel free to tag anyone else who might know the answer?

FMG (Farmer's Mutual Group) is probably the first that springs to mind, Chris, they specialise in it.

Tower, Vero, State, Aon, AMP are probably the remaining top 5 rural insurers in NZ.

As Pete said. we're with a private insurance co but I can't recall their name.
I think the 5 other than FMG are all owned by just 2 mother companies

Err, insurance is something I have little interest in & resent paying . . .

I do all mine through a broker, but all my farm insurance has been with CGU for quite a few years now

TBH - I would be struggling to name many agricultural insurers . . .
Just not something I take much notice of

There are a number of agricultural specific insurance brokers, but I'm not that sure about Ag specific insurance companies . . .

I did mean the company you book the insurance with, not the underwriter. So I suppose I did mean the broker.

I don't think its something any of us like paying for though! Does come in handy sometimes.
