You would be grand. Just need to increase miles gradually and slow down. I am training for Belfast half marathon in September. It is good to have something to aim for. I am trying to do more slow long runs. I joined a running club as I don't like running on my own.

Had my first 10k race for years this week.... was a handicap so slowest (me) set off first and everyone else managed to overtake me :-(
But it was a proper 10k and I got round in 72 minutes and it was off road, had stiles to climb over and it was hot hot. So onward and upward
Parkrun 33:47 this week
But I have run 17 miles this week so pat on the back and a sherry trifle for meeeee

Well, "training runs" kind of fell off the radar!
Our two nearest local PR`s were cancelled on Saturday so we were desperate for additional volunteers.
Had nearly 600 on the start line!!! Another Braveheart charge!

I was "funnel managing"........ getting folk to move along and stay in order when they just want to get their breath and not throw up is always fun!!

Tip of the hat to a friend of mine who completed it in 22:23 (not a PB by some way!).......... he`s blind and runs with a guide and is also the Blind Ironman record holder. https://www.haseebblindironman.com/index

Back in the game... it was a bit "breezy" !! 31 minutes on the nail. (y)(y)

Still a big field of nearly 500 as well, the token folk dropped 30 :eek: ... did wonder why my position (before adjustment) was a long way off normal!! Ended up as 299th.

Steady eddie ...thats me!

Just for "fun" they have added an extra shingle bit. Its evil.
So, Summer start thats 100 yards on shingle, up the ramp onto the seawall (keep left), off the end onto the shingle for 25 yards round "Hailes Hairpin", another 25 yards of shingle and back on the seawall (keep left!) then (just for fun) they have put a 20 yard "shingle chicane" around the cafe!!
Then repeat for lap two with out the shingle start.............

32:31 ...... not bad with my injury!!
