Well, day 1 of summer has been cloudy, cool and now 25 percent chance of an overnight shower. Not warm.

If I didn't know I would reckon on you being a farmer. Never happy with the weather. I think its been a lovely day. Pleasant warm breeze. Now torn between watching rest of Netball final or going into town to watch a few overs of cricket.

Forecast is for roasting heat turning to thunderstorms later in the week. Just what I don't want for the OSR. Why does everything have to be unpleasant, extreme and do as much possible to risk the crop? I'd settle for 22 degrees every day with the occasional night time shower.

If into sado-masochism an excellent week to pull seedy beet, Gadflies will be out in force accompanied soon by midges when wheat starts to ripen (thunder flies).

I live in the dry east. I do expect reasons me periods of sustained low humidity and heat during summer.
