Would my NH t7 230 (190hp or thereabouts) pull a 7 furrow wagon plough on light/medium ground with the odd heavy bit ? Not deep ploughing

Yes it will ,used to pull a Gregoire 7 furrow semi mounted vari width on undulating medium to heavy land with a nh6080 but must say now using a 6 furrow mounted vari width on a t7 235 and it is a lot better job ,especially the headlands

Weight it up and let the tyres down, may struggle ploughing on land if it's greasy at all but in furrow will walk away with it

Used to pull a KV RB100 6f (semi mounted - shearbolt reset) at 20” wide with a JD 7710 at 14kph all day long on flint with some very heavy patches. I take it waggon plough would be similar in that it takes a lot less draught than a full mounted!

Thanks for replies so far, a quick question about semi mounted ploughing, how do you do the headlands ? Getting into the corners for example ? Do you leave a headland right around and plough them like that ?

I did but I also did with fully mounted for years after using the semi so you never had to reverse apart from 5-10 metres to tack across for the next pass. The beauty with semi mounteds is your ins and outs arnt 7 furrows long but effectively a 4 and a 3 or 3 and 4 so a lot tidier.
