Farmer Roy's Random Thoughts - I never said it was easy.

I’d like to go to Italy, just for the historical bits really. Rome, Monte Casino, Sicily, Salerno etc. One day... we’ll test our passports post Brexit and see if they still work![emoji57] Failing that, we’ll send the Australian lodger with her passport when she’s old enough and she can report back!

I wouldnt bother spending your hard earned cash on that place, theres a bucket load of history in europe without having to endure that place, only way to do it if neccessary is a tour and dont look out the window when travelling.

FYI you guys down there. My brother is down there on his hols, Sydney at the mo and now it’s pissingit down, seriously!
He will soon be off to Brisbane so brace yourselves.
He is on some kind of schedule but a bit of a word and I could probably talk him into a detour to fetch some rain with him but be warned, he does have his missus with him.
Personally I’d just stick with your drought but if you reckon you’d cope then go for it. Just be careful what you wish for!

Where're you off to @Farmer Roy ?

Weekend ( wedding anniversary ) in Melbourne

I know there is a lot of aviation hatred in TFF - but I love flying
From home to Melbourne is over 1000 km & at least 12 - 14 hours non stop driving
We have driven 50 mins to Tamworth, an hour to fly to Sydney via a De Haviland Dash 8 then about an hour & a half to Melbourne via Boeing 737

It makes a bit more sense where you are. I'm not unguilty of being a bit down on aviation, but I think there's a fair bit of hate for it on here just because people never go on holiday as they're too busy working 25 hours a day to secure their inheritance.

But remember, Hank Williams said it best:
