In todays " Daily Telegraph" Lewis Hamilton has been interviewed and stated the following : Agriculture & farming is the largest pollutant we currently have by over 50%. He then goes on to say that eating meat has been a lie which has continued for hundreds of years.
Make of his ramblings what you will,I disagree 100% with his comments.

They were talking about this on BBC local radio this morning. The presenters were mocking him as much as they dared to on BBC radio. Apparently he has said he is also giving up his private jet in order to save the planet.
The young woman presenter said that maybe,in order to put things into context, the listeners might like to compare what she did last Sunday and what Lewis Hamilton did and see who they thought had the biggest carbon footprint. Lewis Hamilton flew to Japan, whether in a private jet or some other aircraft, from whichever tax haven he inhabits,in order to spend hours driving round and pointlessly round a circuit in a fossil fuelled car. All of this supported by tons of equipment and people who had also flown to Japan, not to mention the spectators that had flown in.
The woman on the radio said her Sunday had been spent cooking a lovely piece of Hereford beef that she had bought from her local butchers in Ross-on- Wye,and was served with lots of locally grown veg.
She left up to the listeners to decide who had the biggest detrimental impact on the planet that day .

To be honest, outside my office is a fast food stall that is pure Vegan. The food is actually quite nice all be it expensive. I wouldn't want to have to live on it but it is nice for a change.

My goodness the hypocrisy is just breathtaking. Surely people have the intelligence to see through this thinly veiled utter bullpoo. Perhaps not.
From the news I've read & I am a F1 fan , those around him are very concerned for his mental welfare. His Twitter posts yesterday were removed very quickly , whether he's realised his hypocrisy & it's got to much for him or it's a publicity stunt to promote his Vegan restaurant who knows.
Although I disagree totally with what he's saying I hope he will be Ok & has someone close to him that can put him on the right path.
There was a story a few weeks ago about Will Smith's son who's been Vegan for 12months & the family has had to step in & help him & return him to a healthy diet.
Not easy when you make lifes cockups in public.

From a Man who drives a F1 car, fly's round the world in a private jet, and has a carbon footprint the size of a Village.

Gone way down in my estimation..........
He doesn't come across as the sharpest tool in the shed.

Similar comments on radio on Talk sport today, Andy Jacobs making the same comments as on the BBC prog. So perhaps he's doing livestock farming a good turn.
