To keep the border where it is.What do they want ?
and no internal UK borders/barriers.To keep the border where it is.
Yes, and don't forget there is the precedent that the Supremes set too. So many ways to do things...If this deal passes Westminster, how long will it be before it is Judicially Reviewed as being inconsistent with the Belfast Agreement.
It would be interesting if the UK left the EU based on this deal, and then a Judicial Review said it was unlawful as being in breach of the Belfast Agreement.
A good question; clearly personal values will affect what one thinks is good, however... it doesn't hurt NI trade at all, it bins the EU controlled backstop, it paves the way for a full free-trade agreement with the EU for the whole of the UK and it allows the UK to strike deals as and how it wishes elsewhere. The rest is pretty much the same. Will someone on here tell me if today's deal is better for the UK as a whole than Theresa's previous efforts?
I'm assuming the DUP vote will be bought before any parliamentary vote on Saturday.

Hard to tell in re the DUP, but Boris needs the votes and is First Lord of the Treasury...
Yes, but to be fair, so has Boris, a bit. I'm yet to get my head around the VAT change, but I'm surprised Arlene is so concerned about it. She has the chance to get an awful lot of money for NI now...So the EU have budged an inch or two after all?
Back in to the tunnel and the talks this morning with encouraging noises but not much more as yet, if reports that he has acquiesced on the Irish Sea customs border are correct, can anyone tell me what has Boris actually won so far?
Survival of the Conservative Party is all that is driving Johnson and his cronies.

Boris, a bit! He has caved into the EU, that's what the DUP don't like. TM forced the EU to keep the whole of the UK in the single market and CU against their wishes. BoJo has now gone back to the original NI only proposal, favoured by the EU, no wonder they are happy.
Remind us of all the things they haven't go now. won't you?Boris, a bit! He has caved into the EU, that's what the DUP don't like. That’s the $64k question!!! With all the factions required to agree to any deal being tabled I can’t see an agreement on this side of the channel getting through whatever the EU 27 would agree to. Are we heading for a hi jack of Brexit in totality - i.e. no Brexit at all? I guess a confirmatory referendum would produce a result for stay at around the same %’s as the 2016 result. That wold create fireworks. All the conservatives can hope for is an election but it’s not a given that they would get a majority. Deadlock!!
I'd be hoping that that wouldn't be enough to weaken the tie to the mainland, if it is, I'd be fearful that there are bigger issues ahead for the union.Having a weaker border along the six counties than in the Irish sea would be suggestive of that.
I sometimes wonder if it’s the Eton education that gives such an overwhelming sense of self importance that stops a certain ex PM just going out into the garage and hanging himself - given the damage he has caused. I just can’t imagine going on with life with that amount of shame/guilt.
The idea must be that Johnson comes back waving his deal triumphantly and gets it voted through on Saturday.Claims a victory in leaving etc.Wins the next election with a decent majority, then in the proper round of trade deal negotiations with the EU,probably reneges on most of it to keep the loonies/ERG/Farage etc happy.I think this is what the danllans of this world are hoping for anyway.Boris, a bit!
