Student Survey

Done the survey. And I'd guess Paige is going to produce a thesis showing clearly, all scientifik and that, that people who think animals don't have rights like hoomans are generally nasty violent bullies. Are you a vegan Paige?

Please do not worry. This is a scientific research study, I am not specifically looking at individuals based on their profession, simply targeting a range of professions in order to get a varied range of people. If you have any concerns please email me at [email protected]

I wouldn't say it was very scientific at all.
I strongly suspect you're taking your own preconceptions, and striving to wrestle the responses you want.

I am not able to have any influence over the results. If you are interested in the results of the study please email me and I can update you once I have done the analysis. My email is [email protected]

Did someone else lay out the questions then?
Cos else you have already influenced the results.
(And i'm so not interested in the results)

Good luck with the rest of your life.
In 10-20 years, when life has knocked you about a bit, and you've discovered some of the sharper edges of reality, perhaps you'll reflect on the implications of your current direction of travel, and some of the hateful inference I think your line of questioning seems to be wishing for.

I won't blame you for what you're trying to do now.
Everyone is young once -god knows I was daft enough as a yoof.

There is nothing scientific about this survey, it's just people feelings and emotions and questions all worded in a particular way to make sure you get to the conclusions you already decided on. Right from the views on animals, to the violent/cheating men and the social engineering that we should all love one another equally.

All in all as a White meat eating male livestock farmer I made sure I filled it in and gave the answers I thought it was looking for.

That is what the “other” box can be used for, please state “carnivore diet” if that applies to you. The survey is voluntary if you do not wish to participate please don’t :)

Hi, you have missed out a hugely important dietary choice, too important to simply go in the 'other' box. Work out what it is and include it in your list and I will complete the survey. (y)

Well Paige, i live in a symbiotic relationship with a herd of cows, and a flock of sheep, who graze an untilled unfertilised hill, which is an internationally lauded SSSI, and is grabbing carbon in its active peatbogs.
The land is alive with biodiversity.
(I cannot plough more than a tiny % of it, and it rains too much to harvest any kind of cereal crops, or roots.)
My forebears have tended the same damlines of ewes and cows for over a century on the same hill.... one particular cow family for some centuries now....very possibly millennia.
We live with them, and on them.
They are everything to me. i would -and do- defend their right to exist, and will to my last breath.
Understand....if I can't eat them, and sell them for consumption, they would cease to be.

Remind me where your protein comes from?
What animals would have lived where it was grown if you weren't so squeamish?
(why do you think seagulls follow the tractor and plough Paige...is it because they like eating earth?)
How much biodiversity is there where your food comes from Paige?

You need to recognise Paige that some people might see strident evangelising vegans as little more than delusional hypocrites.

By way of comparison, I've just this minute been interviewed in person by a student doing a dissertation on farmers in the landscape, or somesuch, focused on the whole cultural aspect, and connection with local and wider community.
A very pleasant experience, and nice that someone sees us for what we are, rather than feeding their own prejudices.

i am interested in what she sifts from interviews.
