Good price there Roy. I would say half of the price of most of the above would be freight. The lucerne price is surprising....I would expect that almost on farm.we baled a failed sorghum crop in July - effectively just sorghum straw - and sold it for $350 / t on farm ( plus freight on that )
yeah, there are some big distances involved . . .Good price there Roy. I would say half of the price of most of the above would be freight. The lucerne price is surprising....I would expect that almost on farm.
Stuffed if I really know, economy I'm guessing - judging by the size. We're guilty of that, however - can't be too fussy with hand-me-down stuff...the main issue raised by that clothing label is why are they dressing a child ( or anyone for that matter ) in 100% polyester ?
I doubt itWell. Looks like the UK is one step closer to a sub free world...
No British government will scrap farm subsidies completely:I doubt it
I read earlier this year that average Welsh farms owe 85% of their INCOME to subsidy. I couldn't believe it so looked at the official figures. It's true!Precisely, if farmers are broke with it then they will soon be ex-farmers without it.
It'll just morph into some other schemes, grants, payments etc IMHO
because fudge trying to survive at £3/kg of beef folks have tractors to run
Yep and very welcome it is to and in the grand scheme of things a bit of back pocket money in comparison to some things our gov throw money at and that includes the biggest source of pollution there isI read earlier this year that average Welsh farms owe 85% of their INCOME to subsidy. I couldn't believe it so looked at the official figures. It's true!
Removal of subs would kill the Welsh economy and rural communities.

It makes you wonder what will happen when they phase out livestock farming in Wales.I read earlier this year that average Welsh farms owe 85% of their INCOME to subsidy. I couldn't believe it so looked at the official figures. It's true!
