I wrapped some haylage that size many years ago and they only lasted 3/4 of a round bale.

we now buy or straw in 8 3x3, or 80x90 is it? it is chopped in the baler, nice length for bedding, the bales weigh about 200-220kg, I was surprised as when I baled straw with our baler and paid by the ton then got paid to bale it a choped round was 330kg average, not pushed past the buzzer either at that.

i was surprised by how little the square bale weighed.

We’ve got 80 x 90 7ft in hay. They weigh approx 330kgs. Typical round bale of hay weighs around 250kgs. But they can range from as low as 200kgs to 350kgs.
we’ve been selling rounds that we bought off the field that averaged 320kgs. They were bloody heavy!
