If she was really listening to farmers, she'd know we don't trust politicians so wouldn't have wasted time on a long speech we don't believe a word of
If its female, breaths and is over 16 (or 18 in USA), what's not to like?
Mind, I have been married nearly 40 years so dreaming is about all I have left

Why would she do that? Her predecessor did exactly the same, at the same venue and was applauded by the twittering delegates.........
Thats great. I hope the trade develops.
Just from quickly surveying the EHC for India, the meat has to be derived from premises that are certified free of a long list of diseases, including Maedi-Visna & leptospirosis, amongst others. There is a scheme for Mv accreditation, which is quite costly and has next to no industry uptake outside pedigree flocks, and mostly smaller terminal sire flocks. I’m not aware that there is any scheme in place to certify freedom from lepto, which rats carry freely of course.
So essentially I would suggest that’s a non-starter for anything but small shipments from individual holdings that are certified as being high health status (+ some).
There certainly aren’t going to be big exports to India from large processors, under the terms of that certificate.
And here was me thinking she was looking quite hot & foxy in that pic. Mind, she is 7 years younger than me so any port ....

R4 Farming Today this morning asked Theresa Villiers how UK Gov would hold food standards up in forthcoming trade negotiations
Repeated placations but when the audience of 500 were asked if they believed it, not one hand went up
Which ones though? Serious questionI'd have some respect if she'd had the balls to say "Look, if your farm is marginal or losing money without BPS then it might be a good idea to evaluate your options." Instead it seems to me that she's unnecessarily leading a lot of decent people into a bad situation, just to save face.
Tell the truth, it would be best for some farmers to get out now
I suspect they have an idea to what extent they will support small farms, which types and where, and I wish I knew! I could be fairly reliant on environment schemes, but I don't trust these people to do what they sayWhich ones though? Serious question
I want to see positive legislative action to allow small mixed farms, family hill farms and small local abattoirs to exist. I want to continue to be free of any form of sub myselfI suspect they have an idea to what extent they will support small farms, which types and where, and I wish I knew!
