You cant do neither very well from where we are.
the only way would have to stay somewhere as Train wont get you there much before 11:30am & a Plane even more sillier money than the poxy trains are
Sometime cheaper possibly based on where you live to drive to your local airport and fly to Edinburgh on advanced bought cheap tickets?

£45 worth of Diesel for 3 of us to get there n back.
Apart from the poxy speeding Ticket i might have got for not slowing from 70 to 60 quick enuff on M1 on wayback it was a cheap trip.
3 clear lanes in front & from nowhere over head they flash up 60mph, always though there was some leeway with time to slow up
U live n learn eh.

I doubt you'd get a ticket from the first sign, especially if it had only just come on. If you download the Waze app you'll see that not every gantry has a camera on. They normally have a 10 mph tolerance in variable speed limits too. These are the Hadecs 3 ones you need to be wary of;

It was like the 1st pics yeah the 3 lanes were 60mph it said & i went thru at 70ish. this wasnt far up the M1 from the A42 to be honest, i piece of Road iam rarely on
typical us rural folks get hit eh. been driving 31years & not a single speeding ticket.

Had a great day there yesterday, lots of good chat from stallholders, good food and lots to see.
Got home at 11pm.
passed 3 couped lorries on the way down on tue night , and a car burning well near towel services on way home.
