To round off tonight's debate...the only animal to leave a consistent money steam behind her for the last 40 years is the milking cow,not one that's dry and you're fattening but a milking cow, unless of coarse you're a total fxxking hash

It's a miracle the beef men are still going.

Ive used rocket a few years now and found he would throw the odd real big calf that would be hard to get out. So this year Im using network, told he is recommended for heifers so I'm hoping for less bother. Rocket leaves good calves.

I'm finding more men asking for Network now, certainly a bit easier. Eric seems to be doing a good job on heifers too. Pure Angus men (suckler beef farmers) still like Rocket above all.

According to my supplier, fertiliser sales fell off a cliff after first cut ground was sown. Bound to tell a tale. I wouldn't be surprised to hear complaints this season from farmers that cut back, that grass just isn't doing the same.

Why do southern farmers not use continental bulls. BB is short gestation, easy calving and add shape. Some AA are the same shape as Hol,but less growth!
I would say because the Angus sires they have are very short gestation and easy calved with quality. AVG 270-274 days for gestation. And Angus is worth good money Atm
Had four at clogher mart on sat 4.5 weeks avg £245 two bulls two heifers

No one is really going to buy a blue bull. Hereford here runs with the cows, angus with the heifers.
