how many trials they would need to give more definitive local information because to be any more specific than it is now I suspect requires quite a lot of sites.

Fair enough.

Still think it would be helpful at least to have separate varietal information listed for the three big regions (E, W, N) already used in the yield tables.

In fact, it wouldn't surprise me at all to discover that the breeders already have a lot of this available but the HGCA haven't actually asked for it.

Surprised seed getting covered as not removing the tracks. Pre-ems not going to work too well either in those clods.
I think he could have just lifted out the ground and be making a headland turn ! But it does look very lumpy to me. I wonder if he has come up with that setup for this season or if it is his normal practice ?

Bumped into the local estate contract boss today. Says he`s only got 16% in and, if this week stays decent and dry, he`ll be all guns out next weekend, WW going in first then the Spring stuff. He looked a bit stressed.

Not been a chance to do anything on heavier soils without doing years of soil damage
forcing crops in in poor conditions will lead to much lower profits and higher costs
the sensible farmers and managers are patient whatever the pressure from agents and owners

in 2013 the higher yields of spring crops came from April planted crops the lesson learnt was if it is too wet wait i
