Isn't it easier to say 5ml per sheep?? [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]So that means in simple terms 480 plus a kn0bfull for every 100 [emoji23]

What a silly thing to do they probably wont get struck with maggot but the dip is doing nothing else in this case.Done mine with dectomax and sprayed som concentrated dip on with knapsack type sprayer
this place full of know it all smallholders this batch was less than 200 heavy in lamb so didnt want dip them. the dectomax was for scab and dip for any lice. dont have crovet here
Scan mite resistance to injectables is already well documented.
Dip is not licenced for use through anything other than a dip. SCOPS, AMTRA and VMD have all warned that using dip in an "off label" way like this may lead to scan mites becoming resistant to dip. https://www.fwi.co.uk/livestock/farmers-warned-not-to-use-jetters-or-showers-to-treat-scab
You're actions are irresponsible and damaging to the future sustainability of the industry. Not to mention the risks to your own health.
it was the smallholder part that made me laugh as most people on this thread are near a thousand ewes or over, smallholders on a big scale
Neil Fells lorry with cage dip is a hell of a piece of kit. He’s a damn nice bloke too!
Nice too know that some things haven't changed in 35 years! ??
Joking joking, put down the forks!
Wouldn't bother, leave them a fortnight and dip them with their mother'sCan any of the scab injections be used on week old lambs?tia
Wouldn't bother, leave them a fortnight and dip them with their mother's
i know that's why i try not to advise but i'm fed up dipping scabby heavy in-lamb sheep cos folks have pee'd about jabbing them at least twice then ringing me,even the vets have started telling farmers not to bother with the injectablesWhat was it you did for a living again??
But yes, probably right, given the amount of resistant scab mites reportedly about now.
We are having the ssme issue sean more snd more resistance about nowi know that's why i try not to advise but i'm fed up dipping scabby heavy in-lamb sheep cos folks have pee'd about jabbing them at least twice then ringing me,even the vets have started telling farmers not to bother with the injectables
I wouldn't bother injecting just dip them guaranteed 100% kill! Can any of the scab injections be used on week old lambs?tia
How long before dipping resistance
Well let’s hope it doesn’tIt hasn’t happened yet, as far as I’m aware, and dipping with OP has been about for a year or two now.
