Face book is full of jokers at present in between the private ads their are more classified ads which are too good to true, they just take the money and never here any more, but how does that work as credit card just reimburse the buyer

They have the money, what more do they want. Be aware credit card companies have no automatic right to refund business

MET fraud squad reckons they are likely Nigerian Actually have valid bank accounts and when one is shut down, another is opened in its place. Look at any cheap tractor on ebay and check seller profile. They will mostly be 100% positive on maybe 5or 6 purchases which will have been somethig bought for pennies and paid for immediately to give them a "credible" profile. Was very close to losing 10K myself and was only saved by the intervention of Nationwide BS fraud dept. Same tractor as above but selling for a more realistic 15K

I had a scroll through ebay the other night in the tractor section. It,s a mixture of genuine older sh!t stuff at expensive prices and dodgy newish stuff at cheap prices that seem to good to be true. :cautious:

I bought a quad of it last week, the quad and the man was a 100%, even brought it up here and l had my old one on gumtree and he bought it as well, gave me what l wanted for it. Wasn't a tractor but still.

It's just the same as buying cars, as Honest John says - if there's anything odd about the way the seller is handling the deal, or it's too cheap, just walk.

Just found another ebay site in Germany called ebay.kleinanzeigan. Does anyone know anything about it as it has a lot of stuff advertised that I would buy if I knew it was not a scam. Always used ebay.de with no problem but this looks more difficult.
