The MOD has jets doing target practice locally. I am not going to speculate why as there is enough guessing already.
When I as farming near the Stamford battle area, it was nothing unusual for a passing low flying tornado to line up on you and do a practice run. First time it happened it was pants changing time as you never heard them till the afterburners went on as they went over 20 foot up. More than once seen them laughing as they went past

There used to be a low level flight line over my house to the target. I tried all sorts of things to get them to move it. Then I saw an article in Readers Digest about US farmers planting crops in patterns, sometimes to show the face of some famous person, then charging punters to go up in a balloon to view them. The article said the pictures could be seen from Outer Space.

I sent the cutting to Whitehall with the following note: "I've been trying to get you guys to move the low level flight path from directly over my house but I can't seem to get through to the right person. So I am writing you one last note. It will be written in very large letters on 25 acres in Roundup but it's pretty expensive herbicide. So the wording will be short and to the point. As you will see from the enclosed article, it should be visible from space. I would imagine it will give the Russian astronauts a good laugh though".

They moved the flight line.

Roads around here very busy today but not with cars or bikes ( well except outside the supermarket where there was 300 odd people queuing up for hours to get a loaf of bread ) but overseas lorry's..

The lockdown only seems to apply if you live in the UK, anyone else can carry on like normal!

Most people will have caught Coronavirus when inside

it only needs 90 percent of people do the isolation properly for Coronavirus will die out

with measals 90 percent vaccination success gives enough coverage to prevent spread
some people cannot have the vaccine and some it does not work

When on the tractor cyclists are a pain especially in bigger groups
their biggest risk is catching the virus from the cyclist in front

Trouble is there is no vaccine currently for this virus and wont be for at least 12/ 18 months.

There will be nothing left of the country if its locked down like this for that long!

I can vividly remember back to 1978 when I was forage harvesting in the field above the house in a MF 595 with a Kidd double chop behind, when I was targeted several times by a rather frightening Fairchild A10 tankbuster aircraft. It's a plane that you cannot mistake, because it has two large jet engines fitted near the tail, above the fuselage. The damn thing came at me at a strafing angle so I could see the pilots head and visor clearly. Probably an American Air Force plane at the time, although I never noticed markings. Well I wouldn't, with the thing jetting down at me, head on.

I had exactly the same experience with the same aircraft. Tractor hoeing sugar beet with my uncle on the IH574 in June 1987. I can still see the plane do a slow roll and come in for the kill. My uncle reckoned the pilot could have seen the time on his watch.
