But, am I right in saying that as long as the pipe has water running back from the jetting nozzle this will assist in equalising the weight of the water in the pipe, therefore only having the weight of the pipe itself to pull?
not sure, just saying. ?

I guess it would but it would also be trying to push the pipe back out! I'm being pedantic though and don't have any experience of jetting with big stuff!

I built this about 10 years ago. Runs @200 bar @30litres per minute. Has 200 metres of 3/8" pipe.
As mentioned already sometimes it's better to dig another hole after 100 metres but in plastic it's fairly easy to put all the pipe down.

that is similar to the one i made, right angle gearbox 1 to 1 into an interpump off a landy moumted jetter, 70mtrs of 3/8" pipe.........it does very well up to about 30 to 40 meters then you have to start pushing..........1/2"or 3/4" seems a bit numb to me ........a bit more flow and pressure up 3/8"pipe for land drains i think would be the way to go

Apologies, will get some in next few days. Had forgot all about this and have been a little bit busy. but will sort it.
Thanks for that, I wonder, have you seen that I’m looking at hose sizes now in a previous post , and do you have any experience with bore of hose compared to length?
I’ve read that the smaller bore has more pressure drop compared to a larger bore due to friction. This makes sense to me as it’s the same with mains water pipe .
