I wonder if marts will start to allow vendors to watch stock sold from now on....no spectators still
I can't see anything changing for a while, this drop and go system is working, their seems no reason at all to change it now.
The marts I deal with all seem happy with it and for it to last throughout summer, but are hoping it can be relaxed somehow later in the year for the breeding sheep and big store cattle sales. I suppose it's wait and see, at least we can all carry on trading.
p.s I wish it would bloody rain!!!!!

Mate of mine is selling Rouge x Dorset springers at moment in Drayton every week. 34-38kg over the last 3 weeks he's averaged £2.89/kg. at that price, if they are finished I think they are better gone. feed them for another month to take £2.50/kg?

Mine are going too Drayton so that’s good too hear think I’ll give them another 2 weeks then take a load

I would think they’re maybe moving slower due too social distancing in the lines and making sure people have there own areas to drove in so nobody’s touching the same gates? Also maybe a bit slower so people watching online can figure out what’s going on lol Normally pretty speedy

Woodheads at Spalding still shut due to covid19. Outbreak started last week and following testing a lot of staff must have it. They were deep cleaning all weekend but i got a call this morning cancelling Buitelaar bulls for tomorrow. The kill in Ireland is light at the moment, these sudden deadweight price rises look like being due to a bit of panic setting in about closures. Non delivery penalties in Supermarket contracts are colossal so I think they’ll be trying to keep well in front just in case and I don’t think Polish will be a very good PR move, My advice screw Larry for every penny you can get. Local haulier is going twice into Ellesmere today with a decker from up here. Hasn’t been for six weeks
