Poachers etc do not run mercs as a rule, or have a merc income and be able to afford lawyers, the owner of this car may well be in a different league, and well used to calling his lawyers.Seen and heard of a few being rammed and no repercussions as yet
owner! chances are on monthly payments.Poachers etc do not run mercs as a rule, or have a merc income and be able to afford lawyers, the owner of this car may well be in a different league, and well used to calling his lawyers.
This is what probably happened when the owner returned to his car, the car not being cheap. First a call to a recovery firm or the AA
Then one to his insurance company
Then one to a local taxi firm, to take him home.
In due time, the insurance co will be after the farmer as it was deliberate damage, and they will be far more interested in getting their money back than the police ever would be, and they will contact farmers insurance co, who, what ever the outcome will put his premiums up next renewal, thats if they offer cover at all.
The car could well be a write off, slurry will have penetrated into heater ducts etc and dried there, and will be almost impossible to remove.
I am full of sympathy for the farmer, but the action was stupid to say the least, and may well be being regretted by now.
no you just wouldn't have heard about itAs has been said before, surrounding the car with slurry was wuite enough to get the message across.
Ten yrs ago before iphones and facebook, thats what would have happened
In that case, his finance company could get involved, and they are larger sharks than the insurance!owner! chances are on monthly payments.
I bet they wouldn't park there againIn that case, his finance company could get involved, and they are larger sharks than the insurance!
Farming types in a similar situation would wade through to the car, and scrape the windscreen clear and drive off. Townies how ever, would want the slurry analysed and checked for heath hazards etc. They would not go near the car until that was done, and even then, would claim the car was made unusable, fragrance, memories etc etc!
