Today went swimmingly compared to yesterday! I love harvest time, but what I don't get is why machinery only breaks down when they are used? ?‍♂️

I'm such a tease! (but I was expecting a riot to break out)

Finally the cats have listened to the social distancing chat we had.

Yesterday I mowed the lawn. Only the lawn was about 40 acres and in 5 fields. View attachment 882953
Contractor turned up today with a new baler. Decided to try chopped bales this year as With the way the year is going won’t be able to afford any waste pulled out of the feeder View attachment 882954
Been all chopped here since about 98 & everything we do for others in silage is chopped.

I'm a bit jealous of all the pictures with people mowing and baling silage... This was my view driving to a recently clear-cut area where it's time for some reforestation.

Planting the saplings might have to wait a little while though, seems a little waterlogged in some places

Going back home turned out to be quite interesting, might want to zoom in for a better look...

Nice Western Steer;):ROFLMAO:
As they're sometimes referred to in these parts
Fairly tidy truck, 500,000 km on it.
He doesn’t like it, only had it since February ( bought it second hand ) & he’s getting rid of it for another Kenworth
My brother in law was driving it for a while earlier this year, on a water tanker for the Shire Council on road works - he didn’t like it either. Called it a “budget” Kenworth :ROFLMAO:

Different drone pic of a better part of the farm, W.barley Wosr S barley some wheat bottom left And a pic from ground level of same area. taken from tree near center of pic.
OSR rounduped as it was growing on the cinder track bed of old railway, residual herbicides rarely work in the cinder. pigeon damage clear to see in OSR
Tree was free from fisons many moons ago, (horse ate the top out of it not long after planting)
