Agricultural Equipment / Machine pressure washing - £45.00 p/h

If I could offer a suggestion. Look into providing a service for exporters. Afraid I can't tell you where to start looking but I do know certain countries demand any machine being imported has to be 100% clean. Fully disinfected etc. Shipping companies been known to charge £2-3000 to clean big excavators to the desired standard.
if you could get into that and issue some sort of recognised certificate of cleanliness you'd charge 5 x the £45/hr
Hi, that's a good shout thankyou..will look further into that. Regards Mark

To be honest, I have no idea, never done one I would say hour to hour half, as I am trying to get established, I would charge 10.00 p/h so I can gain experience, take photos, look at the equipment, the PTO side etc etc so 10.00 would cover my travel and costs etc, so basically a free clean, if you are interested..??

I think I’ll probably be too far away for you to travel but I’m sure you’ll find somebody closer to you to experiment with. The is a company in our area that valet combines/ tractors on a set fee for dealers. I’ve never contacted them for a price but somebody said they were £250 on a combine to blow down under the guards and external wash/ polish tyre buff.

I am happy to travel to you, no problem..where abouts in Yorkshire are you..??

Fully Detailed External Valet With Double Coat of Polish and Wax From £70Full pro wash and radiant polish with tar deposits removed, minor blemishes removed, colour, paintwork and shine restores, external trim dressed and conditioned with a second coat of hard wax.

Thats for a simple car exterior.

Now look at where the mud and grass etc gets on a tractor.

There is a hell of a difference between a farm wash and brush out versus a full valet inside and out!

That's why I am only charging 20 -25.00 p/h

Double that time be more realistic. 1/2 a day to do a proper job of a grubby 200hp tractor and 6m long grain trailer.

£45/hr way too much

Our washer I’d cost at £3hr, labour with NI pension etc £18, so £21/hr. Having said that every farm has a jet wash, most would baulk at paying someone to do something they can do themselves with the kit they have already.

If you charged £30/hour then you would make a tidy £9/hr profit

I wouldnt touch modern tractors as if vehicle/implement has any kind of electrical issues in the months after you wash it, you unfortunatly going to get the blame.

Or look the other way at it a dodgy farmer can pay you £45 then use your insurance to fix his faulty tractor
