Big like for that.
Really fancy one of them, thinking of buying with no battery.
How does it last with the 5 amp battery? Just wondering if it needs the 9amp.
It has two speeds, lasts 20 minutes in low on a 5ah not sure about high as I’ve not needed it yet, I won’t be buying a 9ah as I’ve got a couple of 5ah which is more than enough

Any one know of a contact number for Milwaukee warranty have a 1/2 one key impact gun that’s given up 2 years old was registered luckily for the 3 year warranty. I bought the tool online I’m from Ireland nearest Milwaukee store is an hour away I took it their they won’t send it to be repaired as they didn’t sell it fair enough really. Just stuck now I don’t want to buy a new one if I can fix this one.

We have one, in high speed it lasts about 40mins with a 12ah. The strimmer head is a bit rubbish though and the cord is even worse. I put double strand in, fixed. Lasts longer than a battery and cuts better too

you got on milwaukees uk site were you registered it for warranty and fill in a claim form, you box it up print off the returns label and a courier collects it, takes it to C J Sinclair and they repair it or issue a new one.

Quite simple really.

A Milwaukee M18 grinder gave up the ghost here last week. 20 months old and neither Milwaukee nor SGS could care less about it claiming it's out of warranty. The hammer drill which was bought at the same time also has an intermittent fault which generates the same response from them, but at least it still works (most of the time). SGS clearly state a 2 year warranty period on their website but they've conveniently forgotten about that.

Has anyone had any dealings with them regarding warranty and any ideas how we might make some progress?

Did you register the tool on Milwaukee website for extended warranty?
If so it's really easy to get sorted.
I sent my drill in last Friday and it was back repaired in 4 working days.
Free collection and delivery

We are pretty sure they were registered, but obviously not. Doesn't help that the serial numbers are borderline illegible, so I'm not even sure we're quoting the right ones to them. They've suffered defects contra the sales contract so it really shouldn't matter whether they were registered or not.

Your claim will be with the reseller then as extended warranty will only apply with miwaukee if you registered.
Not likely you will get anywhere with the reseller if you cant come up with serial number and proof of purchase

my half inch wouldn't work I think it was a wifi issue? Its about a year old. Brought it the dealer where I bought it; sent away and back within 7 days. no fuss or drama. I could have bought it cheaper online, but dealer said if anything goes wrong, he would look after me.
Just to add, before I went to my dealer, I thought it was a software issue, so got onto Germany and they looked into it, but confirmed it wasn't a software issue and recommended I take it back to the dealer. In my case, everyone did their best.

I dont know why it's so hard for every one? Register the new tool via website within 30days of purchase = 3 years warranty. Fail to do so and you only get 12months simples.

You make your own on line account and you can see all the tools you ever bought and what warranty is left.
Absolutely no need to ever go back to the selling dealer for warranty at all even in the first 12 months.

Hows the drill now? Did C J do a good job?
They rang me to explain my drill (m18 chx)wasn't really suitable for my job. Its primarily for drilling concrete. It has a clutch that is designed to stop the drill if hitting reinforcement in the concrete. So it basically can't drill a 20mm hole in wood if its tough. If the clutch slips it wears rapidly. I have a soil auger which a normal battery drill works very well. This milwaukee won't drill an inch deep! I had a bosch sds drill previously that never had this problem.
So the drill is useless to me so will end up in a cupboard gathering dust. Now to find a decent drill!
Can't fault the service from sinclairs. Its got a new clutch so good as new.

Did they suggest a suitable drill for you?

Yes. For wood one of these. I have never seen one before but it seems a bit hopeless for general use.

Ah yes that's a bit of a one trick pony!

The fpd2 combi drill would drill 20mm in wood but as a long term drill for it it possibly wouldnt last long?
