The folding arms on the krone would swing it for me.
are they similar money? I would expect the Massey to be a good bit cheaper

The Krone is about £600, the folding arms are a bonus, plus I feel the carriage is wider and sturdier!
We have had are krone 7 years and it’s still working well it’s had about 15 tines pins and bushes in the wheels and 3 new arms after someone tryed to row up a tree. The old kv was about warn out and 4 years old when it rowed up a bale and was a right off.
Sounds like you need a new driver ??
We can’t let him go today as it’s Father’s Day but I sometimes think I’m turning in him. ?

I used to bale a lot of small Bales. My opinion for what it's worth. No more than anyone else I suppose
Haybob we wont mention. To a small baler they are like a Heron to fish . Oil and water .I used to borrow a single rotor rake . I then had the dogs bo locks. I could flip the straw rows over . If I had to ted anything out I could form rows the ideal size to suit the feed of the baler , keeping chamber full at all times . You wont get a tidy bale without a good constant feed . I may be wrong but dont think you can do all that with a twin rotor

I see this a lot say , buy a big monster rake . Hes only got a small place ,a single rotor will do the same job just take a bit longer and is more adaptable .

We went from a twin rotor rake back to a single rotor... the twin rotor was great - we all loved it but it was far too big (was the smallest twin rotor claas did) and the baler couldn't cope in our heavy crops.
The loss of forward speed was more than the loss of passes across the field gained so it actually slowed the job down considerably.
