As above, the pictures on Facebook are at Newton Stewart. Bought a old tractor from him once, was seized but I knew that before looking at it.

Hi, is this seller ok? I see he is farmers weekly approved?
reason I ask is that what he has for sale looks cheaper than similar machines- I know a lot is EU import but should I be concerned?
thanks

I too would like to know if this guy is genuine. Got some very tidy machines but the price does make me suspicious. I have spoke with him and he is very keen to do a deal but as he's so far from me to view the tractor it makes me nervous to part with any money.

Yes he is a genuine Guy.
Well you can go to his yard and see the machines, it’s not a scam but it’s up to you wether you think they are worth the money. I haven’t bought a machine off him but have sold him an old machine for cash.
@Stewartry hill is nearer his yard than me

In the end I didn’t view or buy of him. I’d tried phoning but no answer and afterwards he corresponded via text.
The tractor is still for sale even though it seems very good value.
I bought local..

You are right to be nervous. We bought a tractor from him and he told us it was in good working order and in good condition. However it overheated within 20 minutes of use and the machine was shabby. We live in Wales so didn't view it beforehand and he is now refusing to refund us our money despite initially agreeing to a full refund. I would avoid him like the plague!!

VERY sorry to hear you`ve been had. Don`t want to preach to the converted BUT it is VERY dangerous to spend money on something you`ve not seen in the flesh. I think my line is if something is too far away to view then I look for something nearer to home that I can at least see. Hope you get sorted without too much extra expense.

You live in Wales not Australia or NZ. It's only a few miles west of Carlisle and its not as if you would walk it. I know a lady, now deceased, that would drive herself from Edinburgh to Builth and back in a day, no bother, in her seventies.

Believe me - if it was me, I would have viewed it but my husband bought it without my knowledge!
A 5am start would have seen you at the dealer's for an early lunch. I have travelled from Aberaeron to Gretna, starting at 5am and hit Gretna by 9am.
Remind him that restricting himself to his square mile is costing him dearly and that when the plague has gone away you intend to see the country, with or without him. ;)

Guys a disgrace. Yard is full of scams and sh!t heaps sold as “will go straight to work”. Bought a mini digger off him for £10k. Wouldn’t accept anything other than cash. Got it home, done 30mins work and it was overheating which turned out to be the head gasket was shot. Not to mention the knackered slew ring which was a few grand to get put right as well as a recon engine!

Sorry to hear you have been scammed by him as well. We tried to take him to court but because of covid none of the solicitors there would take the case. He is a disgusting human being!!
