Bought a old tractor from him once, was seized but I knew that before looking at it.He dosnt have a website or anything he mainly just buys stuff that goes for export he Is awrite though it will exist will prob be sat in his yard bit at newton stewart
As my above post i would recommend viewing unless a very simple machineI too would like to know if this guy is genuine. Got some very tidy machines but the price does make me suspicious. I have spoke with him and he is very keen to do a deal but as he's so far from me to view the tractor it makes me nervous to part with any money.

VERY sorry to hear you`ve been had. Don`t want to preach to the converted BUT it is VERY dangerous to spend money on something you`ve not seen in the flesh. I think my line is if something is too far away to view then I look for something nearer to home that I can at least see. Hope you get sorted without too much extra expense. You are right to be nervous. We bought a tractor from him and he told us it was in good working order and in good condition. However it overheated within 20 minutes of use and the machine was shabby. We live in Wales so didn't view it beforehand and he is now refusing to refund us our money despite initially agreeing to a full refund. I would avoid him like the plague!!

Believe me - if it was me, I would have viewed it but my husband bought it without my knowledge! You live in Wales not Australia or NZ. It's only a few miles west of Carlisle and its not as if you would walk it. I know a lady, now deceased, that would drive herself from Edinburgh to Builth and back in a day, no bother, in her seventies.
A 5am start would have seen you at the dealer's for an early lunch. I have travelled from Aberaeron to Gretna, starting at 5am and hit Gretna by 9am.Believe me - if it was me, I would have viewed it but my husband bought it without my knowledge!
Sorry to hear you have been scammed by him as well. We tried to take him to court but because of covid none of the solicitors there would take the case. He is a disgusting human being!!Guys a disgrace. Yard is full of scams and sh!t heaps sold as “will go straight to work”. Bought a mini digger off him for £10k. Wouldn’t accept anything other than cash. Got it home, done 30mins work and it was overheating which turned out to be the head gasket was shot. Not to mention the knackered slew ring which was a few grand to get put right as well as a recon engine!
