@Liz1 you have had a lucky escape and t is a good job you have found this forum . Dont feel embarassed at Your good fortune many here, myself included have had near misses with these eloquent scammers, sadly many fall for them

Sorry to say in my opinion if you are looking to spend 5k Sterling for a 2.5t or 3t mini digger your only going to buy a very old Tatty machine which will give no end of trouble.

Do not under any circumstances buy a machine without being able to verify who you are buying it off.

The people on this forum have a vast knowledge of machinery dealers throughout the UK. If someone on here can’t verify the authenticity of any machinery dealer I would suggest you don’t do business with them.

On a different note I see a machine that might suit you on Gumtree it’s located in Ballymoney NI @£7300

just note, I know nothing of the machine or seller.

Ah thanks so much. I'm so glad we found out before we got burnt. The scammer has taken down the site and have not heard a thing so he knows that we know. Happy days?

My husband went to Carlow yesterday and bought a machine for 7000 euros from a reputable dealer. I will post pics when he collects it. The dealer said a friend of his was scammed in uk for 24000 sterling for a machine. He lost everything. All I can say is I cant thank you all enough. Great lesson learned. ?

Honestly I dont know a thing about machines. My husband was leaning towards buying the machine in England. I had a gut feeling that something wasnt right and, by chance, I accidentally stumbled across this forum.
I honestly cant thank everyone enough on this site for helping us out.
Sure are professional scammers. Feel so sorry for people that have been scammed. Nobody can afford to lose money like that.

I was a couple of days late finding BTEquipment - on 29th June in fact. But it's yet another scam website, the work of a Romanian OCG with the string-pullers resident in Russia so that they can't be extradited

They've been targeting Ireland in recent weeks because they have hundreds of HSBC bank accounts in the UK that they're finding difficult to use IN the UK due to the launch of Confirmation of Payee three months ago. But CoP doesn't work with international transfers. I've received loads of enquiries from Ireland over the past month or so, mainly people who made transfers from Bank of Ireland in Dublin to HSBC in the UK. Not sure if there's a case for reimbursement yet, hope to know within the next few weeks. What I can say is that if the sending bank is in the UK, and the transfer took place after 31 Oct 2017, there's a decent chance that I can get the sending bank to reimburse in full. But it MUST be a UK bank.

Hi everyone on this thread. BT equipment who profess to sell farm equipment etc. are 100% scam!!! I know this becauase I am the director of the real BTEquipment company and we do not sell anything to do with farming equipment or anything close. The scammers have stolen our web site name and are using it to cheat you out of your money. I hope this helps some of you.
