You’re right, those with scab should dip their ewes. Not treating infested sheep is what spreads it around, not the non-treatment of sheep that are isolated from others, closed flocks, etc.
Not treating or 'not seeing'

Or the best one "I used cydectin to sort the lice problem and dysect to sort the ones with scab, but not all of them needed treating so I didn't do them all"

Maybe training on such matters should be mandatory for farmers to sell sheep to other farmers.

Or maybe a licence to keep animals [emoji848][emoji6]

Ewes here all crutched out in individual pens at lambing . Just stick a halter on and tie up ..... 1st time they jump about , but remember proceedure after ..... Simples !! Way easier than doing them later on .....

What? After they've lambed?

Why not do them two weeks before and be able to see what's happening when they're lambing?

They'd do much better to use cydectin to treat scab and dysect to treat lice surely

Has anyone experimented with put an oil based substance with Crovect? There's a fella round here who swears by diluting it with red diesel (amongst a few other daft things, like no fences) it sounds a terrible idea to me, but did get me thinking about other oil based products.

Never used clik, does it kill ticks?
Always thought it didn't, ectofly and dysect here.

No, Clik doesn’t kill anything, or have any effect on ticks.
It is a growth regulator that stops maggots developing to the stage where they bite, so they hatch, starve and die before they do any harm.
