Question from someone who thought changing the above would be an hours job and now has all the dash and shrouds disassembled, trying to get at it.?

How do you remove the pin at the bottom of the old strut please? It doesn't look threaded, in any way, more like a rivet that needs drifting out?

If it’s the same as a jd handler then i drove mine out with a punch, I know what you mean about thinking it’s a 5 min job, took me 2 hours and the dash was fairly stripped to get at it.

Now Then..
It’s just a straight pin which is tight in the bracket either side of the ram. Use a deep socket with a hammer behind to steady it as you drive the pin out into the socket

Thank you, looks like what I thought; didn't want to start laying into it in case there was a grub screw hidden somewhere. This forum is a great resource.
