THINGS FOUND IN FIELDS

Ahh Ok then ,the funniest thing we found was on the lay by itself !
Some wag had dumped an old glass topped garden table (cracked )and some metal chairs . All were coated in their tenth ,probably, coat of paint so the drips were like small stalactites ! A mucky beige
The funny part about it was the table had been left in the centre and the 3 chairs arranged around it with some old beer cans and other bottle on the table top !

Looked really good in a strange sort of way !!!

Our silage contractors found loads of copper wire when they put the mowers in a few years ago. Made a right mess. Western Power Distribution contractors dropped the single phase electricity line (put up in 1955) on our fields to replace with three phase. They missed a whole length when rolling it up.

We found a load of stolen Barbour jackets a few years ago, Police were so snotty when father in law reported it in (he was treated like a thief) he decided to keep one.

Found a set of dumped stolen number plates a couple of years ago, been used in local Petrol station cigarette kiosk theft.

Can't find a picture, but we had an African Ibis on our wildlife pond, he buttied up to a couple of egrets and we've seen him a couple of times flying over in 2 years

Only thing I've found in the ground are old horse shoes

We had one of those turn up on one of our lakes too (we called him Ian). We obviously didn’t tell anyone, or the place would be full of bloody twitchers from the town, but unfortunately they got wind anyway, a few turned up uninvited and he didn’t hang around long after that.
Don’t tell anyone, but we have spotted him a couple of times since.?

Oh, and somebody found a human skull in the mud by the other lake a few years ago. Much excitement while local CID (that’s the bright ones?) found the farm, before they sent the skull off to their specialist dating guys at Llandod.
When the report came back the ‘specialists’ had managed to narrow it down to a juvenile/teenage person that had died at some time between 1700 and 1950. I came to the conclusion that they lie on Silent Witness.?

Found a dead body of a young lady, A few years ago that went missing from the local town six weeks previous while we were combining ,enough said.

I've found 2 dead bodies in our fields,
One was a tennant of residential caravans we rented out, a shame a really nice person and was only 20 yards from their door,

The other was someone reported missing from Aberdeen 3 weeks previously, how they ended up in our fields 30 miles from town, with no public roads in the vicinity,
And with no links to anyone or where in the area was strange,
Especially as a friend swears he saw vehicle lights in the field couple nights before but thought it was us going round cattle,
We had no cattle in that field.

Also the remains of a guy who has been missing for over 6 months was found in a stream that ran through our ground, the same stream my water supply came from

That's pretty good narrowing down death to between 5pm and 7.50 pm

Someone drove across a standing wheat crop to leave 3 large fridges by the hedge under some oak trees. And then there was a caravan also driven into a wheat field at the other end of the farm but at least it was near the gate. It was quite a good caravan, so husband dragged it out onto the lane and left it in the gateway and a couple of days later it disappeared.

Another time someone had driven through a gate and knocked it off its hinges and dumped a huge pile of old tyres, cans and miscellaneous mess from a garage in a grass field, luckily no cattle.

Husband reckons he found the body of a "big cat" one day when cutting grass, but he said he shoved it in the hedge and undergrowth out of sight.

My step brother found a tiny gold ring whilst metal detecting in our field. It just about fit the little finger of his two year old. He had it looked at in a museum and they said it was from the 1650s and had an inscription ' to my dear friend ' on the inside. This doesn't appear to be an inscription for a child but why then is the ring so small?

Maybe it was worn on a necklace

Had a Burnt out motorbike land on the header of a kemper header when I was cutting maize once and then the same field the following year a burnt out car, both under a overpass of a motorway.

ploughed up some old WW2 artillery/bomb casings when ploughing in Hampshire, some fields were near an airfield which was very active during the war and the amount of brass casings laying around after ploughing was nuts.

Seen plenty of doggers, dog sh!t and garbage, horse shoes.
When ploughing I managed to catch a hammer I’d lost 6 months previous when ploughing the field and the hammer was caught on the plough point :ROFLMAO:
Saw a tent floating across 1 of the reservoirs here last winter ?‍♂️
get some great finds on the beach, a formula 1 tyre was the best find my brother had, had a few Caribbean trees wash up to, usually once or twice a year the odd cow/horse/whale will wash up.

Not quite an emu, but I came across this chap when I was hedge trimming a couple of years ago.

At different times I’ve also found a goldfish miles from anywhere and a guy trying to gas himself in his car.

Anyone else find christmas baubles in trees around Christmas time miles from the nearest house? I assume magpies take them?
