How far sold are you for 2020

Let's hope anyone 75-100% sold wasn't banking on 4t plus wheat averages (per acre that is !)
You need to get out more!
In this neck of the woods (South Cambs, North Essex) the majority of Wheat looks to be capable of 4t not sure about the plus bit but they’ll probably be a few, 0% sold.....

sounds like you need to get out of your county more ! Most of the Uk I’ve seen is a mess and will not yield well

around here a field with osr is a very rare sight indeed and despite our crop looking ok ish from the road get in them and the. 90 days this spring without any rain we had made them very thin, in fact some where lost alll together through that period

Nice to here some parts of the Uk were not so badly affected though despite the wettest autumn / winter pretty much in living memory and then one of the driest springs !

Predicting yield based on your own back yard is a dangerous occupation
the wheat in the Midlands will be the lowest yields in the nation which often happens when the weather is too wet
but the rest of the country can still produce
midlands merchants in the past have come a cropper by marketing on the basis of local yields
prices end up lower and more grain than their prediction

Still got wheat to sell but unsure what to do. Feel it should go up with what fields look like, but nothing seems to be happening. Getting a bit twitchy at the moment.
