I have a case mx 135 with no steering power, was hooking on a trailer when it went dead, when foot brake is pressed the steering will work but under load, will do the same if a spool levers is pulled, the lift arms are fine, had a mechanic looking at it and we where sure it was the priority valve,we put a brand new one on costing 700 quid and there is no change,we are a bit lost, any ideas are very wellcome, has this happened too these tractors before.

I,m sure theres a valve on the side of the spool block at the back which can get crap in it which affects all that but I could be wrong, I think u need an allen key and just screw it out and clean it up but don't quote me on that!

99% of the time it is just muck in the spool check valves if you look behind the toplink bracket on the end of the spool slices ull see a flat screw head undo that remove it and pull out the valve behind it with a magnet and just check it's all clean in the hole and valve. normally you find nothing but put it back and all works fine .there will be one of these on each spool slice so check them all.

I would blank off each service attached to the load sensing line next one at a time, just stick a modified 5 pence in the pipe fitting to each service and see if it comes Back. There Is the trailer brake valve , hitch valve, spool valves , priority valve and the steering unit that can be done all though u can't do the steering unit as that's the item your trying to get working.

You say the priority valve was damaged what was actually damaged or what had damaged it ?
