All things Dairy

I'm guessing very short round, closely followed by the fert spinner?

Don't really know what you can do about it other than buffer which is the last thing you want to do. I doubt it will cause massive issues in stale cows.
15 day round with dirty water and 2 units of N a day allowance.
The cows that arnt dried off are pumping.

I see Bill Gates has given a bio start up firm (in conjunction with some other funders) £3.5m to develop human breast milk from mammary cells in an effort to reduce “carbon footprint”
Seeing as about 10% of all milk production is turned in to baby formula, this could have a significant impact in the future

I wrote elsewhere, creating factory produced milq (TM) should be a piece of pish compared to growing a steak in a vat.

Grown it since we started milking so 7 years it’s a good backup crop.
got nearly 50 acres this year.

Ah so you are an old hand at it and yet still get great crops which can be a rare combination, most people take it for granted after their first crop and it descends into a shower in subsequent years as they don't pay attention to seed beds or spraying. Excellent crop and cleans up the ground lovely.

Steps it is. Wanted some full length ones at the bottom due to the angle out the shed. But need to go shorter now as digger driver worried I’m going to make him dig a cutting through the bank ??
