I heard it not the size that counts but what you do with it2"-3" might be a touch small maybe
Well pleased with theseHaving compiled the prices of Scanpole, Octopost and Chesnut posts for my requirements (2 x 100m strips with strainers and gate posts), the Chesnut posts are cheaper by £400, but given that Scanpole has a 40 year guarantee (need to keep the paperwork and hope they are still around) that difference is price is marginal over the hopeful fence life.
Suspiciously cheapWell pleased with these View attachment 893250View attachment 893251

It's not Morgans, about half an inch still white . No idea if that's good or badIf that's the same Morgan as 'Morgans of Newtown (now in Aber as well I think), I had a couple of creosoted strainers off them to finish a job a few years ago. When I cut into them they were softest shite timber you could imagine, spray tanned with creosote. Within 2 years all the colouring had washed off and I fully expect to be replacing that handful sometime soon.
F&F creosoted ones put in at the same time are still seeping creosote on a hot day and are as hard as nails.
Probably stained in coffee at that priceIt's not Morgans, about half an inch still white . No idea if that's good or bad View attachment 893262

Ok thanks , they absolutely stick of creo .You see that Santa tag on plenty fence posts, both Creo and Tanalised. I don't know who they are exactly but likely to be the merchants processing the timber out in the Nordic or Baltic States.
Is that after cutting in half? It's not Morgans, about half an inch still white . No idea if that's good or bad View attachment 893262
