I'm well aware of that. I've seen the daily checks and torque settings for things like blade bolts but I don't know anyone who goes mowing with a torque wrench.Everybody thinks they are covered for accidents, once the doo doo hits the big swirling thing you will find the responsibility for safety largely rests the the operator of the machine.
Machines also often come with handbooks, those handbooks have chapters covering safe operation, they also often explain that failure to apply checks to safe operation result in invalidated warranty and the manufacturer clear of any or all liabilities regarding damages or injuries to persons or property.
Was thinking more of an accident that was caused by the incorrect building of a machine, I'd rather not have that responsibility especially if I wasn't the operator.
